El Último Fotón

The Last Photon

The Last Photon is a piece conceived as threshold and contrast.

The exterior, made of low-temperature black clay and coated with Musou paint, absorbs almost all light, becoming an opaque, silent form that evokes the edges of the universe—that extreme boundary where radiation has not yet arrived and space remains in absolute darkness.

In contrast to this total blackness, the interior reveals an unexpected core: an intense blue that evokes Earth, life, and the fragility of what exists.

The botijo thus becomes a metaphor for the cosmos: outside, the void, absence, the end of light; inside, the persistence of life as a luminous exception.
