Coronavirus Confinement in Spain.


Selected as one of the best photographs of the year 2020 according to xataka foto. "Coronavirus Confinement in Spain" has been published in more than 20 different countries on more than 100 websites around the world.

He already has 16 international awards and several book publications.

Taken in our house, on May 1, 2020 during the almost one hundred days of confinement that we suffered and with the participation of the entire family, it is the photograph that gives us the most joy.

Coronavirus Confinement in Spain

 Millions of children in Spain, stuck at home since the authorities implemented a nationwide lockdown in mid-March, have been unable to exercise outside, take a short walk around their block, go with their parents to the supermarket or leave their house except for medical reasons.

    Such measures, the strictest in Europe, have left countless children bored, exhausted and sometimes depressed.

     The picture shows my three children at home, each one on a terrace located at different levels.

Photograph very studied first in its composition with several tests of how best those who were going to be the protagonists of the shot fit together.
Testing colors, lights and orientation of the photography in addition to using a camera and mobile phone for different angles.
In the end the shot was taken at 7 in the afternoon, when we had the best evening light and taking advantage of the 5 minutes where the sunlight entered directly into the lower terrace, illuminating Paula.
